A highly ornate antique gold gilt sterling silver presentation key. The front features a LUCD monogram which stands for Leyton Urban District Council. The reverse features an inscription “Presented to E.M. Hall Esq. upon opening the Fire Station Harrow Green Leytonstone July 25, 1914”. Leytonsone is part of Greater London, England.
The key is very dimensional and the symbols of a ceremonial mace and axe are incorporated in the design. Measures 5.25 inches long and 2.25 inches at the widest point. Weighs an impressive 89 grams. A beautiful hard to find collectable key!
